Curtin University creates a lively cultural hub at our Bentley campus, one that connects our students and staff with the broader community. Through Place Activation, we ensure our campus is an inclusive, engaging and enjoyable destination, where students and staff are at home and the wider community feels welcome.
Our award-winning place activation program Park'd @ Curtin includes:
Food Trucks, Disc Golf, Geocaching, Work Integrated Learning programs for students, outdoor film screenings and performances from musicians, dancers, comedians, and circus performers.
In addition, to enhance place-making Curtin has giant games of Chess, Connect4, Foosball and Skittles that break up the study day and allow for down-time in between classes. Flexible, casual outdoor furniture such as bean bags, wooden benches, mist-fans and table settings provide shade and shelter in break time on University grounds. There are also colourful fun-cubes (containers) on campus that offer alternative resting places with books, electronic games, gardening activities and even a swing!
Place activation changes are bringing Curtin campus to life!
Curtin's Place Activation program introduces services and amenities that offer new opportunities for students, staff and retail operators. Place Activation resources can be used by staff and students on campus by request.
