Old Perth Boys’ School

  • 6 Star Green Star Rating

The heritage listed, Old Perth Boys’ School building located at Brookfield Place was upgraded to provide building services that are compliant with current standards in addition to a fully integrated interior fit-out suitable for its use as Curtin University St Georges Terrace.

In April 2017, the facility received the first 6 Star Green Star – Interiors rating awarded to an Australian university.

The project delivered facilities to accommodate:

  • Workplace for two permanent staff and ‘hot desk’ workspaces
  • Flexible function and exhibition space that also caters for informal drop-in and enquiry opportunities
  • Board/meeting room with video conference facilities
  • Innovative, best practice AV infrastructure
  • Interpretive display documenting the heritage value of the building

The design maintains and showcases the heritage significance of the building within a contemporary setting in addition to demonstrating sustainable design principles.
