SAFETY AT CURTIN
We want to create the safest campus we can, for all who use it. This is why we have implemented a range of services including:
- 24/7 safety patrols
- Security escort services
- Mechanical assistance
Our Safer Community Team always carries identification and each one is an employee of Curtin. They provide the foundation of our efforts to create a safe and enjoyable campus for all.
We want to ensure your safety at all times. Curtin understands that due to particular schedules and study needs, you might need to travel to and from campus during the evenings.
We strongly recommend walking with company, especially at night. When friends and colleagues aren’t available, our Security Pedestrian Escort Service can escort you to your car, other parts of campus or to student housing villages.
This service can be accessed via Security on +61 8 9266 4444. Please note that you may have to wait 10-15 minutes before a Safer Community Team officer is available, so try to plan your request.
Our Safer Community Team provides basic mechanical assistance like jump-starting cars to help minimise congestion and to offer security on campus.
Contact our Team on +61 8 9266 4444 to see if we can help you out.
Please ensure that you report all crime and incidents to our Safer Community Team, regardless of who else you report to. This will help us minimise crime on our campus.
