Over 100 programs and activities have now been mapped for a consolidated look at what sustainability means to Curtin, now and in the future.

Curtin is committed to positioning itself as a global leader in research, education and engagement. Embedding sustainable practices across the organisation is therefore critical to fostering a bright future.

As an educational facility with over 60,000 students, 4,000 staff and nine campuses, we play a vital part in supporting the communities we operate in and we have diverse opportunities to do so.

In 2015, we embarked on a project to understand and consolidate existing sustainability initiatives being implemented across Curtin. As a result, over 100 programs and activities have been mapped to four key areas:

  • Our Connected Community
  • Our Enabled Economy
  • Our People & Governance
  • Our Physical Environment
