2022 Completed
Completed in 2022, a number of clinical skills laboratories used by the Faculty of Health Sciences located on Level 3 of Building 405 have been refurbished.
Features
- Refurbishment and upgrade of facilities and finishes within laboratories to reflect industry leading, contemporary clinical spaces.
- Reconfiguration of current design to increase capacity for classes and to accommodate eight beds per room.
- Updated wet and dry preparation areas.
- Additional storage units to improve efficiencies within the laboratory space.
- Upgrade existing AV systems and hardware.
Benefits
The B405 upgrade works have transformed the existing facilities into an immersive learning space, reflective of the current clinical industry environment along with improving efficiencies within both the laboratory and preparation areas to enhance the student and staff experience.
Additionally, the upgrade of AV systems and hardware has allowed the Faculty of Health Sciences to record and capture clinical skills as they are demonstrated in real time for future review, to allow for the continuous improvement of teaching and student outcomes.
