Information - Capital Expenditure

This form is for Capital Expenditure Projects only.

What is this form used for?

The Request to Initiate Project (RtIP) form is used to identify a need or new project for review and recommendation by Properties Facilities and Development (PF&D) in alignment with the following:

  1. Curtin University Strategic Plan
  2. Curtin University Strategic Development Plan and Capital Program Budget
  3. Strategic Assessment Management Plan

The Strategic Development Plan and Capital Program Budget are presented and approved by the Senior Executive team, Finance Committee and the University Council each year.

What is the Assessment Process?

PF&D review and investigate each Request to Initiate Project submission with the relevant Faculty Business Manager/Area Managing Director, taking into consideration the University’s Capital Program and Strategic Asset Management Plan.

Recommendation Outcomes

Following thorough investigation PF&D Campus Planning will advise the Faculty Business Manager/Area Managing Director of the Recommendation outcome i.e. the request has been recommended for Project Proposal development by the relevant PF&D Portfolio Manager OR unfortunately the request cannot be accommodated in the Capital Program.
