Emergency management

With such a diverse range of people, activities and buildings at Curtin, it is important that we plan for any emergencies that could cause a disruption on campus.

Curtin Emergency Management supports all facets of an emergency, from prevention and preparedness, to response and recovery. We have a large team of trained first responders who assist at the scene of an emergency incident.

Whilst not common, emergencies do occur, and it is important that you know how to keep yourself and others safe during an emergency situation.

When you’re on campus:

  • Be aware of what’s going on around you and let the Safer Community Team know of anything suspicious or unusual.
  • Always follow the instructions given to you by staff, the Safer Community Team and emergency services.
  • Pay attention to all Curtin emergency communications sent to you, especially text messages and SafeZone alerts.

Together, we can all help to keep the Curtin community safe.
