We want to create the safest campus we can, for all who use it. For this reason, in addition to our response to incidents or concerns, the Safer Community Team offer a range of services including:

• 24/7 security presence and availability
• Security escort services
• Mechanical assistance

Security escorts

We want to ensure your safety at all times. Curtin understands that due to particular schedules and study needs, you might need to travel to and from campus during the evenings.

We strongly recommend walking with company, especially at night. When friends and colleagues aren’t available, our Security Pedestrian Escort Service can escort you to your car, other parts of campus or to student housing villages.

This service can be accessed by calling +61 8 9266 4444. Please note that you may have to wait 10-15 minutes before a Safer Community Team officer is available to escort you, so please try to plan your request.

Courtesy rides

Curtin provides free transport around the campus via the Courtesy Bus, and from surrounding suburbs and student housing via the Curtin Access Bus Service (CABS).

Mechanical assistance
