This heritage-listed building has been extensively refurbished to facilitate engagement with city-based businesses, industry and government, and is predominantly used as a postgraduate and executive education hub.

In March 2019, Curtin University opened 137 St Georges Terrace as an additional location in the heart of the CBD.

Showcasing Curtin University’s commitment to sustainable building design, the premises has received a 6 Star Green Star – Interiors certification, the highest sustainability rating for interior fit-outs.

Project features

  • Collaborative learning space for postgraduate and executive education classes, equipped with web and video conferencing
  • A range of spaces to support diverse learning modes
  • A contemporary boardroom for meeting with industry partners and postgraduate use
  • Bespoke lighting, fittings and furniture pieces, some of which were created by Curtin Alumni
  • 6 Star Green Star – Interiors v1.2 certification
  • A selection of Aboriginal art from the John Curtin Gallery collection

The eclectic design combines carefully curated elements, environmentally-friendly attributes and existing heritage features to create a striking space, reflective of the University’s commitment to innovation, adaptation and engagement.
