The Curtin University Midland Campus forms a key component of the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority’s Midland master plan, which has repositioned the historic Workshops precinct as a medical and education hub and helped to recreate the employment, economic and community spirit of the area’s historic past. With strong support from the City of Swan, the State Government committed $22 million in funding and reserved land to support the establishment of the facility.

- Curtin University Midland Campus showcases ‘distinctly Curtin’ architecture, designed to complement its heritage context
- Diverse mix of indoor and outdoor collaborative, technology rich learning and teaching spaces designed to support interdisciplinary health practices
- Strong indigenous culture influence reflected in building design, artwork, landscaping, signage and wayfinding
- The project has targeted a 5 Star As Built rating from the Green Building Council of Australia
- The project is Curtin’s first Building Information Modelling (BIM) project, which offers benefits in terms of facility management and maintenance and long-term asset management
